Donating as an individual

We accept donations of both medical and non-medical products from individuals, see the comprehensive lists below for more details. Please email info@intercare.org.uk or call 0116 269 5925 if you have any questions.

Please check the following list of medical items that we can accept before sending your donation to us. If you are unsure if something you have is acceptable then please get in touch.

  • First Aid Items – Bandages, dressings, plasters, foil blankets, gauze, surgical tape, tourniquets

  • Catheters and accessories (no stoma/leg bags)

  • Skin Wipes (wet and dry – non alcohol)

  • Toiletries – maternity/sanitary pads, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, travel size body wash

  • Small surgical instruments – Scalpels, scissors, tweezers

  • Health Care accessories – Bed linen (flat sheets only), measuring cups and spoons, sharps bins, towels, weighing scales (adult and baby)

  • Medical devices and equipment – blood pressure machines, laboratory equipment, nebulisers and accessories, pulse oximeters, stethoscopes, digital thermometers

Non Medical Items you can donate

Donation Guidelines:

Postage or drop‑off: Donors are kindly asked to cover postage costs or deliver items directly to our warehouse in Syston, Leicestershire.

Sealed and sterile items: All supplies must be unopened, in their original packaging, and fully sterile.

No medicines accepted: We are unable to accept any donations of medicines.

All items must have 12+ months’ shelf life left: This is to ensure they can be safely distributed and used. We will not accept expired products.

Posting your Donation?

We are a very small charity and therefore donors are kindly asked to cover postage costs. Please include your email and contact details inside the parcel. If you do, we can confirm safe receipt, say thank you and let you know where your donation will be heading.

Dropping Your Donation off?

Our office and warehouse is in Syston, Leicestershire. You are more than welcome to drop your donation off in person, come and meet the team and , if you are interested, you can have a tour around the warehouse to see where the supplies are stored and how we send them to Africa.

Please call 0116 269 5925 before dropping your donation off so that we can ensure a team member will be available to receive it.
