We are incredibly grateful to everyone who chooses to donate surplus medical supplies. Your generosity helps us send vital healthcare to vulnerable communities across sub‑Saharan Africa while preventing perfectly good items from going to waste here in the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Unfortunately, as a very small charity, we don’t have the available funds to offer a collection service to the general public.

    If you have supplies you’d like to donate, we kindly ask that you cover the cost of postage or courier, or drop them off at our warehouse in Leicestershire.

    Please get in touch with us seperately if you are an NHS health facility needing collection.

  • Unfortunately we cannot accept medication that you may have left-over from treatment at home.

    It became illegal in 2013 to accept and redistribute patient returned medication. The new legislation was brought into place to protect the end user of the medication and to ensure medication can be tracked efficiently.

  • Please send/drop off your donation to the below address. If you would like to receive an acknowledgement that we have received your donation then please include your name and contact details inside the package.

  • We can accept the below list of items that we collect to raise funds for the charity.

    • Jewellery

    • Stamps and stamp albums

    • Cigarette cards

    • Printer Cartridges

    • Raffle Prizes

    • Foreign currency

    • Old/discontinued currencies

    • Knitted clothes and blankets (these are sent on container shipments to reduce single use plastic packaging in the containers)

  • We cannot accept:

    • Patient returned medicines (we only procure medicines from organisations with an MHRA wholesalers license)

    • Medical products containing alcohol, e.g. alcohol wipes, alcohol hand sanitiser (however we can accept bottles of alcohol to use in raffles)

    • Liquids (including Nutritional supplements)

    • Mobility aids that require electricity or are not collapsible.

  • We do not do house clearances.

    However if you are clearing out a house please make sure to look out for the below items which we can accept:

    • Unopened and sterile medical supplies that have at least 12 months left on their expiry date

    • Jewellery

    • Printer Cartridges

    • Stamps and stamp albums

    • Foreign currency

    • Potential Raffle Prizes

  • We currently support health units in Malawi, Tanzania and Sierra Leone. All of the health units we support are incredibly rural and are very grateful for the medical supplies and medicines we provide for them free of charge.
