75% of the medicines that Inter Care supplies to the health centres it supports come from donated medicines and patient returns. Where these are insufficient to meet the needs of our partner health centres, we purchase additional supplies in bulk directly from low-cost manufacturers. This means we can ensure continuity of supply of the most essential medicines to our clinics in Africa.

Purchasing these medicines together with warehousing, packing and distribution costs forms the major part of the charity's annual expenditure, and without financial donations to cover these costs we simply could not continue our work. So just as important as the donation of medicines themselves is the funding to enable us to get them where they are so desperately needed.
