Inter Care patron Amir Khan wins WBA Light Welterweight Title

Amir Khan becomes World Champion

Amir Khan became world champion as he won the WBA Light-Welterweight title last night.

At just 22 years of age, he defeated Andreas Kotelnik as his devoted fans had expected.

Khan was awarded 120-108 and 118-111 (twice) by judges.

He does not believe he could have succeeded without his trainer, Freddie Roach, and his team.

"It's the best feeling ever. I'm a world champion and I'm going to enjoy it."
