This Centre is situated at the extreme north of Tanzania, close to the border with Kenya and close to Lake Victoria. Run with dedication by Sisters of the Immaculate Heart Sisters of Africa, it provides essential medical services to a poor population who are mainly engaged in subsistence farming, providing health education as well as maternity services to some 8,500 people. Water is short in some seasons. There are no other medical services in the area and the nearest referral unit is 60km away. Six villages are visited on a monthly basis for outreach clinics.
