This Anglican foundation is the main hospital at Chilema, right in the centre of the tea-growing area of southern Malawi, and has been working since 1940. The population of the catchment area is more than 90,000. The Hospital has 156 general and maternity beds and provides surgery and dental treatment as well as staffing 4 outreach clinics that visit villages on a monthly basis. HIV / AIDS services include community home-based care programmes.
