The clinic, which is in a very rural situation was opened in 2003 and was initially given a grant by the government to provide some basic equipment. Since then, they have received no further help from the government. The unit was well laid out and spotlessly clean.
The clinic is run by the Indian Sisters of the Holy Family Congregation. There are 3 Sisters/nurses and a dentist who visits once a week and they have been promised a visiting doctor once a week.
After a visit by Inter Care in February 2009, we have agreed to start supporting this new unit which has virtually no medicines and very little equipment.
