Mamfe is somewhat remote, to the south-west of Bamenda and this Health Centre was started by the Diocese of Mamfe in 2001 to supply a need. It has 21 beds and is staffed by 6 nurses and two midwives. They run maternal and child-health clinics and visit each of 3 villages twice a month. HIV/AIDS activities include prevention of mother-to-child transmission, and an education programme and community home-based care.
