This is situated right on the western border of Cameroon with Nigeria in an area where territorial disputes are common and violent. Access to it is very difficult because there is no road from Cameroon, only from Obudu in Nigeria. The Franciscan Sisters who have been providing medical care there since 1972 for a population of around 20,000 are virtually cut-off in the wet season. The Health Centre has 30 beds, a doctor visits monthly and 4 out-reach clinics are visited on a monthly basis.
