Who are we?

Inter Care – Medical Aid for Africa was founded in 1974 by two Leicestershire GPs. Sadly both Dr. David Rosenburg and his wife Dr. Patricia O’Keefe have now passed away. However Inter Care’s active body of trustees under Mr Alan Mellor keeps alive their tradition of saving valuable medicines from landfill and incineration in the UK, and using them to help alleviate suffering and save lives in Africa.
Inter Care has always been a low overheads charity. A panel of 40 volunteers including qualified doctors, nurses and pharmacists quality check all our medicines whilst other professionals give administrative and other support to ensure we are able to send the maximum aid and keep costs low.
Inter care has only 4 part time staff who manage the day to day running of the office, warehouse and do fundraising. We are Diane, Carol, Bill and Harry.
Our biggest cost is shipping each parcel of aid to Africa.

By keeping our costs low your donation will make a big difference.
