Madisi Mission Hospital
This Hospital founded in 1964 is based in the Diocese of Lilongwe. The population for the catchment area is 43,641 and the condition of the roads is dusty and potholed. The nearest referral hospital is 101km. The hospital has 140 beds in 4 wards with a staff total of 195. The most common diseases are Malaria, Anaemia, Pneumonia and Sepsis.
After waiting for Inter Care support for a while now, we are delighted that we sent them their first consignment of medicines worth nearly £2,000 in October 2010.
We have continued to support Madisi Mission hospital, who following a recent consignment sent in January 2012 we received this reply:
